PHILIP ANTHONY SMITH

Philip Anthony Smith was born in a small hamlet in the United Kingdom called Wigan, in 1989. He is often reminded by his mother that he could read before he went to nursery. She read him a few pages of a simple book when he was a child, and much to her astonishment (and probably horror) he finished it without further help.

Before he discovered the magic of writing, Philip worked a string of seemingly unrelated jobs. If there is a vocation that pays minimum wage and has nothing to do with being an author, he has probably tried it. From a window-cleaner to an SMS psychic, he has a CV thats longer than his books.

But he always had a passion for story-telling…

It was time. He desperately needed to bring those stories that were locked in the deepest recesses of his mind to life, but not written in the pages of the books you read, but in film and on television. He tried for many years to get somewhere in the industry, although after many knock-backs, he gave up again and went back into creative hibernation.

After the birth of his daughter in 2023, Philip decided that enough was enough. He had a need to unshackle these tales from their captivity, but instead of a screen, he chose this new technology he had heard whispers about; books.

On the discovery of this exciting new phenomenon, Philip set himself to task. He completed writing his first book “Run for your Life“, inspired by his other new pass-time, running up and down the Leeds & Liverpool canal, and released it in April 2024.

That’s it. He was hooked.

Constantly trying to become a better writer, he continued to walk the path he had chosen and two months later at the end of May 2024, he unleashed his second psychological thriller, “The Woman He Left Behind.”

To this day, he continues his writing journey and aspires to be a best-selling author one day. As you read this, he will be lurking somewhere cooking up his next thriller, hoping it will blow your mind.

Philip married his beautiful wife, Lindsey, in June 2021. Then again in May 2022, thanks again, COVID. And in June 2023, they welcomed their amazing baby daughter, Alyssa into the family. They still live in sunny Wigan, with their two dogs, Lola and Leo.
